Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe avocados
  • 64g finely chopped white onion
  • 64g finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeds and ribs removed, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice, or more if required
  • ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, add more according to preference

Guacamole Recipe

Directions

  • Cut the avocado lengthwise around the seed, twist open and remove the seed with a knife.
  • With a spoon, scoop the flesh of the avocados into a bowl, discarding any bruised, browned areas.
  • Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the avocado until it reaches your desired texture.
  • Add the onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, coriander, and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Taste and season with additional salt according to your preference.

How to make your guac last

Our guacamole recipe can be prepared ahead of time and is perfect for all occasions. However, they turn brown fast, so it's best to know how to store guacamole to keep it fresher for longer.

For the best results, follow these steps:
  • Store the guacamole in an airtight container.
  • Gently pour about two centimetres of water to cover the guacamole surface completely.
  • To eat, pour off the water and stir the guacamole. Refrigerate for up to two days.
