Ingredients
250ml of water
2 ½ tbsp of sugar
2 tbsp of salt
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
250g of all-purpose flour
Oil for frying (about 1.5L)
130g of sugar for coating
1 tsp of ground cinnamon
Equipment
1 small saucepan
1 deep pot
1 pastry bag fitted with a medium star tip
Paper towels
Directions
Combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil in a small saucepan. Heat the pan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a dough ball.
In a deep pot, heat oil for frying to 190°C. Then, use a pastry bag and pipe approximately 5- to 6-inch strips of churros dough into the oil.
Fry the churros until golden brown and drain them on paper towels for a few seconds to absorb excess oil.
Mix sugar and cinnamon. While still hot, roll the drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture, and coat thoroughly.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
